Dear Ms. Lunelle,

As I made my way this morning up Highway 9 with the Southern Cross in hand, two middle age White women would pull their truck with a Pennsylvania license plate alongside me and ask, "What are you doing?"

My reply was that I was walking down the road, "tending to my business, and what are you'se doing?" "Well, it's just you and that flag. It just doesn't make any sense to us." I gave them my card and a history lesson, and told them to visit my web site, www.southernheritage411.com

Shortly after they had pulled away, three of my Black babies would jump out of a car and began to walk alongside me. "Mr. HK, did you hear about Jim Limber's dad? A magnet elementary school in Jackson, Mississippi that is named after him is going to change its name to Barack Obama Magnet School. What do you think about that craziness?"

It took me a minute to respond because they threw me for a loop when they said Jim Limber's dad. They were talking about President Davis, and the little African slave boy that he and his wife had stopped from being beaten and took into their home as an adopted son.

Before I could answer, one of the young men went on to say, "It looks like another assassination of a true friend of the African people. You would think that the Black people of Mississippi would stand up for the Davis family like the Davis family did for their ancestors during that time in history."

"Yeah," the other who had not spoken, "a lot more than Obama or his family did for Black people while he was a President. Why not just build another school and name it after President Obama. If President Obama had any decency, or any knowledge about President Davis, he would ask them not to do it."

"Mr. HK, why don't you ask Ms. Lunelle to set up a GoFundMe account for you, and ask for help to change your name. Yeah, I bet Mr. Lyons could help you. He is a great attorney. Change it to HK Jefferson Davis Robert E. Lee John Hunt Morgan Thomas StoneWall Jackson Patrick Ronayne Cleburne Nathan Bedford Forrest Edgerton."

"Yeah, Mr. HK, and maybe you might raise some extra funds to help Ms. Lunelle in Florida, and get on the road to March Across Dixie."

I made my way back to the Southern Legal Resource Center and made their case to the Honorable Attorney, Kirk D. Lyons. His reply was; "HK, it can be done." Therefore, here we are adding more food for thought to your table. God bless you!

Your brother,

HK
