Had all Slaves have been freed

Dear Colonel H.K.,

Is there anyone ignorant enoungh to believe that were all slaves in the eleven Confederate States been freed on January 1, 1961, there would have been no War for Southern Independence? The war would have still been fought because of Yankee greed (i. e., The Morrill Act).
