Dear HK,

I was surfing Librivox.org, a website that distributes free public domain audio books in mp3 format, when I came across a book by Carlton McCarthy titled Detailed Minutiae of Soldier Life in the Army of Northern Virginia, 1861-1865. I became enamored with this book since it focused not on the battles but on life in camp and on the march. One chapter even speaks fondly of the black servants, teamsters, and citizen-soldiers that served the Army of Northern Virginia. I recommend that this link be shared with all the suppirters at Southern Heritage 411.
