Slavery Study, Reparations Article
Ladies & Gentlemen,
Today's Kingsport Times-News (www.timesnews.net) has run a story entitled: Bill would create panel to study effects of slavery.
I am incensed! And if you have read, I'm certain you feel as I do. If you haven't had the opportunity, please check it out; and forward to all in your address book who believe as we do.
My fellow Tennesseeans, we must unite against absurdity in our elected officials. With current foreign, domestic matters, why are we obsessed with this issue? We cannot fall prey to these demagogues!
First the Southern fightin' man and his culture was attacked. Then accounts of true honour and bravery were selectively, and deliberately, expunged from the classroom. Next the banner that symbolized his Country was vilified and fell with utmost dishonour.
Please allow me to say it: Southern heritage has been raped! This is not the time for political correctness. It's time to take a stand and tell the truth. The article is flawed with false innuendo and untruth, and is another-subtle-tool being used to chip away our rights and freedom.
I urge each of you to contact Nashville, and your elected representatives. Let them know you will NOT stand idle while freedom and truth is under assault.
HK, Tennessee needs you, Brother!
GOD bless our Country! GOD bless you ALL!
