HK.

Thanks for adding me to your list. It saves Tom or Gail the trouble of forwarding it. I hope you keep me on.

Your letter to president-elect Obama is spot on. I hope he answers you with an invitation, but I doubt it. It seems that politically correct trumps historically correct every time now-a-days. I do appreciate your work as educator of this nation and for correcting the history and misconceptions of the Confederacy.

By the way, Tom, Gail and I all grew up in Raleigh. Don't let them hassle you about not eating Grits. Although it is a great southern dish and tradition, it is not the only one. I happen to know that they both have partaken of hashbrowns, or homefries at one time or another. I love homefries with eggs for breakfast, and have eaten many a plateful at the Blue Tower in Raleigh, and still do at restaurants and greasy spoons everywhere. Of course NOTHING beats a plate of scrambled eggs, grits, country ham, biscuits with red-eye gravy poured over all of it. Yum, yum!

I hope one day we can break biscuits together with a plate of eggs and hashbrowns or homefries, and I will tell you all about Tom, who has been my best Bud since 1948. For instance, did you know that even though he lives in Asheville, he refuses to come out of the closet.

That's right, although he is a Republican he has presented himself as a democrat his entire life.

Cheers,

Hunter George
