H.K.,

I am going to skip over the things I don't understand about how you are treated by some of the SCV members in a negative way. I can only tell you that you have shown nothing but positives in my presence toward our cause. I have met and talked to you at the Hunley crew funeral, at the Nashville Veterans Day parade, at the Tn. Division reunion in Murfreesboro, and at our recent Confederate Decoration Day at Springfield, Tn. I can only tell you I have never heard anything but support from our camp members and other members of our division and amazement from non-members seeing and hearing you for the first time. We could not have had a better presentation at our recent service at Elmwood cemetery in Springfield. All eyes were on you and those skeptics left the ceremony with a new, more positive opinion about the SCV. We have heard it first hand. You are already an Honorary member of our camp, so all I can say is, " we are a band of brothers", and that includes you.
