Brother HK, A little time has passed since our Atlanta meeting. Has there been
any communication between you and Elijah Coleman? I certainly hope so. I also
hope that you will stay the course with us in our fight to save our southern heritage.
I have talked to other SCV members here concerning your possible desire to move
on and everyone hopes that you will stay. I am just a lowly foot soldier in our
cause, and can't speak for the SCV, but I would with encouragement from you explore
proposing to SCV Headquarters to put you on the SCV payroll as a full time Confederate
Southern Heritage Ambassador to travel when and where directed to deliver "the
message" on our behalf. Of course, the monthly salary would have to be determined
with travel expenses (per diem). Naturally, I do not want to beat a dead horse
if your mind is made up and you are opposed. Please, think it over and get back
to me. In the words of Bill O'Reilly, "What say You?"
" IT IS NOT THE CRITIC WHO COUNTS, NOR THE MAN WHO POINTS OUT HOW HE STRONG
MAN STUMBLES, OR WHERE THE DOER OF DEEDS COULD HAVE DONE BETTER. THE CREDIT
BELONGS TO THE MAN IN THE ARENA WHOSE FACE IS MARRED BY THE DUST AND SWEAT AND
BLOOD; WHO STRIVES VALIANTLY ...WHO SPENDS HIMSELF IN A WORTHY CAUSE, WHO AT
BEST KNOWS IN THE END THE TRIUMPH OF HIGH ACHIEVEMENT, AND WHO AT THE WORST,
IF HE FAILS, AT LEAST FAILS WHILE DARING GREATLY." (TEDDY ROOSEVELT)
Remember, HK that you are "THE MAN"
May God Always Bless and Protect You, My Best Regards. Brother Henry
