Bro. HK, Today, I received an e=mail from our mutual friend Dan Buie regarding your difficulties. All this information was new to me. Maybe I'm just naire or slow, but I always thought that you received funds for your efforts from the SLRC.

I'm distraught to think that you must abandom your great work for the South because of our lack of concern.

I think that I have your address and telephone, but please send them to me again.

I will send a small check that is to be shared with your brother forYOUR PERSONAL NEEDS.

Please never abandom the work that you have started. I know you must survive and that means work for pay, but a man of your abilities can do much better than McDonalds.
