Dear HK,

Next Thursday, October 6, Mary and I will be presenting our flag history program to a group at Blue Ridge Community College here in Hendersonville. My ordnance sergeant, Warren Scott, who usually helps us with the flags, is having to work and will not be able to go with us. The college will pay us $50 for presenting the program, and we'll be glad to donate it to Southern Heritage 411 or to the young lady down in South Carolina, whichever you would prefer.

I believe we are to start about 10 a.m. and be through about noon.

This is a "continuing education" sort of thing where people pay to attend the presentations, and they have just had one by a man praising Abraham Lincoln. So your being with us might give some of the folks a healthy shock.

Of course it would be my personal pleasure to share the limelight with you, so please let me know if you can join us.
