Mr. Edgerton:

I would like to apologize to you on behalf of the small number of free thinkers remaining in West Virginia. I was shocked and saddened to learn that our legislature refused funding for the upcoming Civil War festival here in our state due to your scheduled appearance.

The local news has reported that funding has been restored since your speech has been canceled. I am very disappointed in my lawmakers because they choose political correctness over history. Please continue your efforts to enlighten the public as to the facts concerning the War Between the States and do not let the narrow minded revisionists stand in the way of the truth.
