It is always a proud moment for me acting in my capacity as the Color Bearer for the Honorable General Robert E. Lee (the Honorable David Chaltas). And it couldn't get any better than the moment he was escorting my dear friend (Ms. Crystal) Minerva, the lady who stopped the Yankees from stealing General Morgan's watch from his body after they had assinated him as he crouched on his knees with his hands in the air surrendering.

To hear Ms. Crystal sing and speak about the life of the slave woman who was loved dearly by General Morgan and his family at this annual Historical re-enactment of the death of General Morgan in Greenville Tennessee, and the countless hours she spends in the Black community teaching the untold southern side of this epoch; is a real testimonal to the memory of the numbers of Black folks free or indentured all across the South, and of the shared love and loyalty reciprocated between them and a man they not only called Master, but also family and friend. God bless General Lee and Ms. Minerva.
