First of all, it is always good to hear from you. God bless Ms.Cadell. These people who oppose her distort the truth. On the highway that the number alludes my memory now heading into Summerville from Ridgeville, a large Battle Flag draped almost the entire house for many years. I know because I lived on that road for more than two years at the Hunt Estate known as the Waterwheel . I knew a lot of the Black families in that community, and it was never an issue. I also marched down that road alongside three other White Sons of Confederate Veterans donned in the uniform of the Southern soldier carrying the Southern Cross on my March to the Hunley Burial where I would serve as a Color Bearer. I marched into Summerville, got a haircut while still in uniform, did a television interview, spent the night there, talked to some of my old friends and acquaintances, and made some new ones. And never did I hear a cross word .
