WATAUGA HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION/MONTHLY MEETINGS; AUGUST 2010

Mr. H.K. Edgerton of Asheville will be guest speaker at the August monthly meeting of the Watauga Historical Association. The meeting will be held Thursday, August 5th at Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site, 2520 South Roan St., 6:30 P.M. in Johnson City.

Mr. Edgerton is a Black historian, activist and Christian gentleman who has been to the White House, Hollywood, had his day on CNN and has visited practically everywhere Civil War re-enactments and other events related to this era have been held.

His outgoing personality, friendliness and charismatic speeches make him one of the most sought after speakers in the country.

The Watauga Historical Association is observing the Sesquicentennial Celebration of the Civil War by having our guest speakers bring their unique knowledge of this era to our audiences.
