Stand Against Racism

Mr. Edgerton,

The Asheville Tea Party will be participating in the nationwide Stand Against Racism rally to be held at the YWCA in Asheville on April 30th.

We welcome your membership and would like to invite you to join us at the rally and offer your perspective on issues of race and racism. We will be attending from noon to 6:00 PM.

A poll at the bottom of the SAR website indicates that most respondents believe that racism is on the rise. Is this your view or not? Either way, join us and elaborate.

Our position is this:

-- The Asheviille Tea Party, founded in February of 2009, is an independent, local, voluntary, nonpartisan, grassroots political activist organization that stands for individual rights, limited government, fiscal responsibility and free markets.

-- Our concern is related to public policy and arrogant, strident and irresponsible policy makers.

-- We believe in individualism and reject collectivism. We don't see people as members of social groups.

-- Everyone is welcome to join us in the fight against big government interventionism, bad public policy and out-of-control spending.

Please let us know if you are available and would like to participate.

Thanks.
