This was a very sincere and touching message from Gary. It would appear that his perception of who you are causes his obvious respect for you. Like many of us, he recognizes you as a great southern American who just happens to be a black man. He respects you for your views as an American without any unnecessary prejudice. That's exactly where many of us come from who know and respect you, HK.

May I make one small suggestion. It would be better for Gary, considering the fact that he has made himself very clear in his positions regarding you, if you would not cause him such stark exposure by including his personal contact information. He included that for you, but not necessarily for the use or abuse of everyone who finds a copy of your forward. Since he has very clearly stated his respect for you, because of who you are, there is a certain class of people of both races who will want to give him extreme grief because of that. If you refrain from including his (or anyone else's) contact information, you will allow Gary to choose his own battles.

This is not intended as unnecessary criticism, HK. Please know that I have nothing but the highest respect for your battle, simply because you choose to fight it the right way...
