HK,

I met you for the first time at the Florida Division Reunion when I attended with my husband and son Alvin Kyle III and Thomas Kyle. I want to thank you for the influence you and Terry Lee had on my son Thomas. You and I talked about the trouble he had gotten in to last school year in just the 7th grade when he got into the computer system at the school he attended. You told me that he just needed more of a challenge and he should have been applauded for his intelligence, rather than punished for what he had done. That for one made a profound difference to me and allowed me to reflect a little differently on the situation. You see, I had never looked at it that way. He was grounded by me for the wrong he did and that was that. After meeting you and spending time with Terry Lee, this school year has been a change. He is now in the 8th grade, making A/B honor roll, no trouble and even made the wrestling team. I feel that a lot of this change is attributed to you and Terry Lee. He wears the shirt you gave him proudly to school and is happy to educate anyone who asks him who you and why your picture is on his shirt. He is proud of the pictures we have from when we all marched with you in Palatka at the Blue Crab Festival. Thomas and my entire family are the better for knowing you. I just wanted to say THANK YOU to you and to Terry Lee for all that you do. My family looks forward to the honor to again be able to march alongside you both. You are both truly the epitome of what a good Southern Gentleman should be. I continue to pray for you on your endeavors as you march for our ancestors.

Thank You,
Jai Kyle
