Dear John,

I had to get an oil change yesterday because my change oil light has been on for a month now, and my front tire was bald. I spent the $150.00 that I had received in donation for that and pray that the other front tire will hold up. And I believe it will cost me about $325.00 in gas to go and return from Lake City. I will have to return that night because I would not be able to stay the night even though I have been asked to speak to some community folks after the Council meeting that starts at 7PM. I can and usually do find a rest area to spend the night or get some sleep. I wanted to leave early Friday and spend the night in Odum, Ga. Friday-Sunday and leave for Lake City early Monday morning. I told the Chief last night that I was trying to raise the funds to be there, and hoped that I would. I hate asking for help. I have been here so many times before. I have also been asked by some babies to come to New Mexico for a similar battle. I know that I can't be everywhere, but these are crucial forefronts that could swing momentum in our favor. I am so honored that so many believe that I can make a difference. I only wish that I could raise the resources that the Poverty Pimps, and those who hate all things can raise so quickly. They all think that I have the same level of support that have. I didn't mean to write a book. G
