GOD Bless you sir. It was good to see u waving the battle flag in Blountville. Your quest to tell the story of black folks who supported the cause of southern rights is inspiring. I try to educate my kids and grandkids about the real causes of that terrible war and find it very difficult. I can only imagine how high the mountain you seek to climb must appear.I 'd like to help u but being an artist and signpainter doesn't garner very many greenbacks.( I painted the historic mural in Blountville). I would like to paint a portrait of you so that copies could be sold by yourself and others (scv , udf..etc) to help you in your efforts to educate and raise awareness about the cause. If you are interested in this idea we can proceed with some preliminary sketches. I would certainly want you to approve of the concept B4 proceeding.
Thank You,
Jim Graybeal

Greetings & GOD Bless you, I would consider it an honor to paint a portrait to reflect your devotion to the south and I will try to come up with some preliminary sketches a.s.a.p...Do u have a photo of yourself that I might work from??? I have several that I've taken but if you have one that you favor I would like to see it sometime. I am currently working on a Battle of Blountville painting and I'd like to start yours as soon as this project is complete. Thanks and be careful out there, Jim G.
