Thank you for spreading your important message

Mr. Edgerton,

My name is Crystal Gammon and I was born and raised in the south. As a white child growing up, I was often taught in school that it is shameful to be born and raised in the south. I was so confused by what I was being taught. I had confederate ancestors that fought and died for the southern cause. My family were sharecroppers and they were being pushed from the only home they knew. My family moved out to Texas, but returned home to Georgia a generation before I was born. We are taught southern pride- and racism has nothing to do with it. To me, being southern means living off our land, being connected to our landmarks and our wildlife, loving God, and showing southern hospitality to anyone we meet. I have watched your youtube videos and I just want to thank you for spreading your important message. If you ever come to Ball Ground, Ga- my family would like to show you southern hospitality in a home-cooked meal and good company! My children would benefit from hearing your message.

Thank you,

Dear Ms. Crystal,

I am humbled and so very honored by your kind message. Give my babies a big hug for me, and keep a light burning in the window. And please keep me in your prayers. God bless you.

Your brother,
